Atlantic City International Airport Absecon is the smallest and least trafficked airport in New Jersey. It is located in Galloway Township, Atlantic County, about two miles south of Absecon Village. The airport covers an area of 1,000 acres and has three runways: 4/22 is 7,500 feet long and 150 feet wide; 3/21 is 5,500 feet long and 150 feet wide; and 17/35 is 4,500 feet long and 100 feet wide. In 2010, the airport had 8,917 aircraft operations, averaging 16 per day. The airport has a single terminal building with two concourses.
Philadelphia International Airport Absecon is a lesser-used airport located in Bensalem Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It is approximately 10 miles northeast of Philadelphia. The airport opened in 1941 and served as an auxiliary field for Philadelphia International Airport until 1973 when it was closed. In 1988 the airport was reopened as a general aviation facility. The airport has one runway designated 13/31 with an asphalt surface measuring 3,000 by 75 feet (914 x 23 m). In 2009 the runway was extended to 4,000 by 100 feet (1,219 x 30 m).
